A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING SUMMERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ON WINNING THE 1993 CLASS AAAA LOWER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN GIRLS' BASKETBALL.

Whereas, Summerville High School defeated a fine Irmo High School team 47-38 to capture the 1993 Class AAAA Lower State Championship in girls' basketball; and

Whereas, the Lady Wave of Summerville High finished the 1992-93 campaign with a superb 28-3 overall record; and

Whereas, Teresa Kendle, the Green Wave's coach, did an excellent job of guiding her team to a most successful season; and

Whereas, Summerville demonstrated outstanding talent, determination, hard work, and unity during the season and is highly deserving of recognition for its accomplishments. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Summerville High School on winning the 1993 Class AAAA Lower State Championship in girls' basketball.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Lady Wave basketball team of Summerville High School, in care of Coach Teresa Kendle.
