A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF THE HONORABLE JESSE REESE FANT, JR., OF ANDERSON COUNTY, FORMER MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the Honorable Jesse Reese Fant, Jr., of Anderson County died on April 3, 1993, at the age of seventy; and

Whereas, Mr. Fant served in the General Assembly as a member of the House of Representatives from Anderson County from 1948 to 1952 and was an auditor with the South Carolina Tax Commission with thirty-five years of service; and

Whereas, he was an outstanding individual who was greatly respected and admired by all who knew him, and we want his family and many friends to know that they are in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of the Honorable Jesse Reese Fant, Jr., of Anderson County, former member of the House of Representatives, and extend sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Fant's family.
