CONGRATULATING OAKBROOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN LADSON, DORCHESTER COUNTY, ON BEING NAMED AS ONE OF "AMERICA'S BEST" SCHOOLS RECENTLY IN REDBOOK MAGAZINE.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were delighted to learn that Oakbrook Elementary School in Ladson, Dorchester County School District 2, recently was named as one of "America's Best" schools in Redbook magazine; and
Whereas, the April 1993, issue of the magazine listed six South Carolina schools among the 177 chosen for the honor nationwide, and Oakbrook was named "Best of State, excelling in many categories". Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That Oakbrook Elementary School officials are given the privilege of the floor of the House of Representatives at a time to be determined by the Speaker on Thursday, April 29, 1993, for the purpose of Oakbrook Elementary school being named as one of "America's Best" schools in Redbook magazine.
