A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE ADVISORY SENTENCING GUIDELINES OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENTENCING GUIDELINES COMMISSION FOR THE COURTS OF GENERAL SESSIONS FOR OFFENSES WHICH CARRY A TERM OF IMPRISONMENT OF ONE YEAR OR GREATER PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 26, TITLE 24, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The advisory sentencing guidelines grid, score sheet, and related list of aggravating and mitigating factors for prison sentences of one year or greater imposed by the courts of general sessions, as prescribed and promulgated by the South Carolina Sentencing Guidelines Commission on January 6, 1993, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 26, Title 24 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
