TO AMEND TITLE 17, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO CRIMINAL PROCEDURE, BY ADDING CHAPTER 2 SO AS TO ESTABLISH THE STATE PUBLIC DEFENDER OFFICE, ITS DIRECTOR, AND RESPONSIBILITIES, AND TO PROVIDE FOR A COMMISSION, ITS MEMBERSHIP, AND DUTIES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Title 17 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
Section 17-2-10. As used in this chapter:"
