A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 12-21-3325 SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT A MINIMUM OF TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE GROSS PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF BINGO CARDS AND ENTRANCE FEES BE EXPENDED FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 12-21-3325. Notwithstanding any other provision of this article, a minimum of twenty-five percent of the gross proceeds from the sale of bingo cards and entrance fees must be expended for charitable purposes."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
