TO DIRECT THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO RAISE THE SPEED LIMIT OF A SECTION OF INTERSTATE I-385 BETWEEN I-85 AND HIGHWAY 14 IN GREENVILLE COUNTY AND TO BE THE SOLE ENFORCER OF THE SPEED LIMIT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation shall raise the speed limit of that portion of interstate highway I-385 between I-85 and Highway 14 in Greenville County to sixty-five miles an hour. The department is the sole enforcer of the speed limit on this portion of the interstate highway.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
