A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AS THEY PERTAIN TO DAY CARE CENTERS ARE SUSPENDED FROM TAKING EFFECT IN WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY UNTIL JULY 1, 1994.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the following regulations of the Department of Social Services as they pertain to day care centers are suspended from taking effect in Williamsburg County until July 1, 1994:

(1) Regulation 114-500(A)(9) relating to training;

(2) Regulation 114-501(C)(1)(h) relating to criminal history background;

(3) Regulation 114-502(B)(4) and (5) relating to facilities;

(4) Regulation 114-503(A) relating to staffing and supervision; and

(5) Regulation 114-503(C)(1) relating to indoor play space.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
