A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE JOSEPH H. MOORE OF MANNING UPON BEING NAMED PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA PETROLEUM MARKETERS ASSOCIATION.

Whereas, Joseph H. (Joey) Moore operates Moore Oil Company, Inc., and has been a member of the South Carolina Petroleum Marketers Association since 1960; and

Whereas, Joey Moore has been a member of the board since 1984 and a member of the Executive Committee for three years; and

Whereas, in 1990-91 he was Brand Chairman for Unocal for the State of South Carolina, and in 1992-93 he was National Brand Chairman for Eastern Region; and

Whereas, his father, Marion Moore started Moore Oil Company, Inc., in 1957 and his son Joey continues the enterprise; and

Whereas, Mr. Moore attended Clemson University and is a deacon of the Presbyterian Church and is a young, bright, active member of his community; and

Whereas, he is the youngest President ever selected; and

Whereas, he will continue to demonstrate fine leadership as President of the South Carolina Petroleum Marketers Association. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate Joseph H. Moore of Manning upon being named President of the South Carolina Petroleum Marketers Association.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Moore, Marion Moore, his father, Kay Clamp, Executive Director of the South Carolina Petroleum Marketers Association, and the National Petroleum Marketers Association.
