A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING NORMA ANDREWS, CLARENDON COUNTY AUDITOR, ON BEING ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF ASSESSING OFFICIALS AT THE ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING ON OCTOBER 15, 1993.

Whereas, Norma Andrews was elected Clarendon County Auditor in 1986 and has served with distinction in that post ever since; and

Whereas, since her election as auditor, Mrs. Andrews has taken a very active role in the South Carolina Association of Assessing Officials, which is a four-hundred-member statewide organization comprised of assessing officials from county government, state governmental agencies, and other persons interested in the assessing field of property taxation; and

Whereas, Mrs. Andrews was elected as the association's president at its annual business meeting on October 15, 1993; and

Whereas, this is a very high honor which reflects the great trust and confidence which Mrs. Andrews' peers have placed in her; and

Whereas, Mrs. Andrews is an outstanding public servant who is greatly deserving of the honor which has been bestowed upon her, and it gives the General Assembly pleasure to have this opportunity to recognize her. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Norma Andrews, Clarendon County Auditor, on being elected president of the South Carolina Association of Assessing Officials at the association's annual business meeting on October 15, 1993.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Andrews.
