A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MARVIN-JOE MERCK OF CLEMSON ON RECEIVING THE SOUTH CAROLINA THEATRE ASSOCIATION'S FOUNDERS AWARD FOR 1992-93.

Whereas, Marvin-Joe Merck of Clemson is a long-time community theatre director and English teacher at Westside High School; and

Whereas, he recently was presented the South Carolina Theatre Association's Founders Award for 1992-93, an award given to the individual or group that has made the most significant contributions to community theatre in the previous year; and

Whereas, Mr. Merck's work has been truly outstanding, and he is greatly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Marvin-Joe Merck of Clemson on receiving the South Carolina Theatre Association's Founders Award for 1992-93.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Merck.
