A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MARY ANN MILLER OF ANDERSON COUNTY ON HER ELECTION AS VICE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA VICTIM ASSISTANCE NETWORK AND ON RECEIVING THE SILVER SCALES OF JUSTICE AWARD FOR HER OUTSTANDING WORK IN THIS AREA.

Whereas, Mary Ann Miller of Anderson County has been elected vice president of the board of the South Carolina Victim Assistance Network, which is the advisory board for the State Office of Victim Assistance in the Governor's Office; and

Whereas, Mrs. Miller also received the Silver Scales of Justice Award and a proclamation by Governor Campbell for service to victims and educating the public on crime and issues affecting the victims of crime; and

Whereas, Mrs. Miller is a truly outstanding individual whose hard work has meant much to the citizens of this State. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mary Ann Miller of Anderson County on her election as vice president of the board of the South Carolina Victim Assistance Network and on receiving the Silver Scales of Justice Award for her outstanding work in this area.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Miller.
