A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE HONORABLE DEWITT WILLIAMS, OUR GOOD FRIEND AND DISTINGUISHED COLLEAGUE IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, ON RECEIVING THE FEDERATION OF OLDER AMERICANS' LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD.

Whereas, the Honorable Dewitt Williams, our good friend and distinguished colleague in the General Assembly, has received the Federation of Older Americans' Legislator of the Year award; and

Whereas, Representative Williams has ably and conscientiously represented the citizens of House District 102, Berkeley County, in the General Assembly since 1983; and

Whereas, he is an outstanding legislator who has worked tirelessly for the good of the citizens of the Palmetto State, especially older citizens; and

Whereas, his efforts and accomplishments have been duly recognized by the Federation of Older Americans; and

Whereas, we, his colleagues, are pleased to have this opportunity to pay recognition and tribute to his talents and many contributions. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate the Honorable Dewitt Williams, our good friend and distinguished colleague in the General Assembly, on receiving the Federation of Older Americans' Legislator of the Year award.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Representative Williams.
