A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY OF ANDERSON ATTORNEY GLENN W. THOMASON UPON HIS UNEXPECTED DEATH DURING THE LEGISLATIVE INTERIM.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were deeply saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Anderson attorney Glenn W. Thomason during the legislative interim at the age of fifty-five; and

Whereas, he was a native of Anderson, a graduate of Erskine College and the University of South Carolina School of Law, and practiced law with distinction for over twenty-three years. In 1989, his son, Scott, joined him in the practice of law, and in the summer of 1993, his daughter, Nancy, also joined him in the practice of law; and

Whereas, Glenn Thomason was respected by all his clients and colleagues as a man of unquestioned honesty and integrity, and the respect within which he was held is evidenced by his election as president of the Anderson County Bar Association; and

Whereas, he perhaps was best known by the people of Anderson County for his radio show every Friday morning where he offered legal advice to any caller to the show; and

Whereas, his commitment to serve his clients to the very best of his ability and sharing himself with his community are two examples of his generous and unselfish spirit that is appreciated and remembered by all those who knew and loved him; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to extend their sincere condolences to his wife, son, daughter, mother, and other members of his family upon his unfortunate and unexpected death. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly express their deepest sympathy to the family of Anderson attorney Glenn W. Thomason upon his unexpected death during the legislative interim.
