CONGRATULATING PHILIP M. WHITE OF ANDERSON COUNTY ON BEING VOTED "SMALL BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR" BY THE ANDERSON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
Whereas, Philip M. White of Anderson County was recently voted the "Small Business Person of the Year" by the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce; and
Whereas, an Anderson native, Mr. White heads a multi-million dollar mini-empire of Little General convenience stores, as well as the recently acquired Piedmont Candy & Cigar Company, which alone is worth more than ten million dollars in annual revenue; and
Whereas, he is a determined, dynamic individual who exemplifies all of the best qualities for success in business and investment in the future of the community; and
Whereas, we are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize him. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Philip M. White of Anderson County on being voted "Small Business Person of the Year" by the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. White.
