A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT SECTIONS 8-27-10 THROUGH 8-27-50 OF THE 1976 CODE OF LAWS (GOVERNING EMPLOYMENT PROTECTION FOR REPORTS OF VIOLATIONS OF STATE OR FEDERAL LAW OR REGULATIONS) APPLY TO ANY CIVIL ACTION PENDING ON THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Sections 8-27-10 through 8-27-50 of the 1976 Code of Laws apply to any civil action pending on the date this act takes effect.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
