A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 20-7-385 SO AS TO MAKE IT UNLAWFUL FOR A PERSON UNDER SEVENTEEN YEARS OF AGE TO LOITER ON THE PREMISES OF A STORE THAT SELLS BEER, WINE, ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR, OR OTHER ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 20-7-385. It is unlawful for a child under the age of seventeen to loiter on the premises, including the parking lot, of a store or business that sells beer, wine, alcoholic liquor, or other alcoholic beverages."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
