A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF H. GRADY KIRVEN OF ANDERSON COUNTY, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, H. Grady Kirven of Anderson County died on March 26, 1994, at the age of sixty-eight; and

Whereas, Mr. Kirven was a senior partner in the law firm of Watkins, Vandiver, Kirven, Gable and Gray in Anderson until his retirement in 1993 and was a respected and distinguished member of the South Carolina Bar; and

Whereas, he was greatly involved in the community in many civic areas and was a devoted churchman, serving as deacon of First Baptist Church in Anderson; and

Whereas, he was beloved by his community and his presence will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of H. Grady Kirven of Anderson County and extend sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Kirven's family.
