A JOINT RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE SOUTH CAROLINA EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION TO EXPEND UP TO THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS OF THE FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE TO THE STATE UNDER SECTION 903 OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY ACT, AS AMENDED, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ERECTING A BUILDING FOR USE BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION IN WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Appropriation for building

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of funds made available to this State under Section 903 of the Social Security Act, as amended, the sum of three hundred thirty-six thousand five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to be used under the direction of the Employment Security Commission for the purpose of acquiring land in Williamsburg County and erecting a building on it for the use of the Employment Security Commission and for the improvements, facilities, paving, fixed equipment, and landscaping as is required for its proper use and for operation by the Employment Security Commission.

Obligation of funds

SECTION 2. No part of the money appropriated may be obligated after the expiration of the two-year period beginning on the effective date of this act.

Aggregate limitation

SECTION 3. The amount obligated pursuant to this act shall not exceed at any time the amount by which the aggregate of the amounts transferred to the account of this State pursuant to Section 903 of the Social Security Act exceeds the aggregate of the amounts obligated for administration and paid out for benefits and required by law to be charged against the amounts transferred to the account of the State.

Time effective

SECTION 4. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
