TO AMEND SECTION 59-47-70, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THOSE PERSONS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SERVICES AT THE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND BLIND, SO AS TO INCLUDE HARD OF HEARING AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 59-47-70 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 59-47-70. All deaf mutes and , hard of hearing, blind, and visually impaired persons of the State who are of proper age and mental capacity eligible, each case to be decided by the board of commissioners, shall must be admitted to the benefits of the school."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
