CONGRATULATING MR. DANA BEACH, FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA COASTAL CONSERVATION LEAGUE, ON RECEIVING THE STATE'S 1993 ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AWARD.
Whereas, Mr. Dana Beach, founder and director of the Charleston-based South Carolina Coastal Conservation League, has received the state's 1993 Environmental Awareness Award; and
Whereas, this award was created by the General Assembly in 1992 to recognize persons who make outstanding contributions in the promotion, protection, conservation, and improvement of natural resources; and
Whereas, Mr. Beach was honored for raising the public's awareness of environmental issues; and
Whereas we are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize Mr. Beach and congratulate him. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Mr. Dana Beach, founder and director of the South Carolina Coastal Conservation League, on receiving the state's 1993 Environmental Awareness Award.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Beach.
