CONGRATULATING DR. NORMAN P. PEARSON, SR., ON HIS SILVER ANNIVERSARY AS PASTOR OF NEW PROSPECT MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH OF WILLIAMSTON.
Whereas, Dr. Norman P. Pearson, Sr., is an ordained minister of the Gospel and a native of Greenville; and
Whereas, Dr. Pearson is pastor of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, where plans are in progress for the joyous celebration of his twenty-fifth year of service; and
Whereas, of the eleven pastors who have served this wonderful church during its 124 years of existence, Dr. Pearson's pastorate has been the longest; and
Whereas, his leadership at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church has received local, state, and national recognition among Baptists; and
Whereas, he is a superb pastor and is known and admired for his generosity and his devotion to charitable and civic causes; and
Whereas, we are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize his talents and to congratulate him. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Dr. Norman P. Pearson, Sr., on his silver anniversary as pastor of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church of Williamston.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Pearson.
