A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 56-3-615 SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE OPTION OF ANNUAL REGISTRATION AND LICENSING OF MOTOR VEHICLES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 56-3-615. Notwithstanding the requirements of this article, the owner of a motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, pole trailer, or special mobile equipment vehicle required to be registered and licensed under this chapter biennially may pay the required registration and license fees annually. The biennial registration and license fees must be adjusted accordingly."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
