A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING CHRISTOPHER A. MEREDITH OF HILLCREST HIGH SCHOOL, SUMTER SCHOOL DISTRICT TWO, ON HIS ACADEMIC AND SCHOLARSHIP HONORS AND AWARDS.

Whereas, Christopher Anthony Meredith of Sumter School District Two is the eighteen-year-old son of William and Cynthia Meredith of Sumter and is a graduating senior at Hillcrest High School; and

Whereas, he has distinguished himself academically by being named a National Merit Finalist, an Erskine Scholar, and a Naval Scholarship Candidate; and

Whereas, he has been named for scholarships to Rutgers University and the University of Oklahoma and is the FBLA District Champion in computer science and computer application; and

Whereas, he is an excellent student and an outstanding young man, and the members of the General Assembly feel that he is highly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Christopher A. Meredith of Hillcrest High School, Sumter School District Two, on his academic and scholarship honors and awards.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Christopher A. Meredith, 2361 Talloak Road, Sumter, South Carolina, 29154-1121, and to Dr. J. Frank Baker, Superintendent, Sumter School District Two, Post Office Box 2425, Sumter, South Carolina, 29151-2425.
