EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF MRS. NINA LEE WILLARD SKELTON OF UNION AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, Mrs. Nina Lee Willard Skelton of Union died on April 12, 1994; and
Whereas, she was the wife of Mr. Ned W. Skelton and a graduate of Union High School and Cecil's Business College of Spartanburg; and
Whereas, she served as secretary of the Democratic Party for Union County in the 1940's and 1950's and was a board member of Union County Social Services; and
Whereas, she was also an active and devoted churchwoman and retired in 1983 as a legal secretary and paralegal; and
Whereas, she was an outstanding individual who was respected, admired, and loved by all who knew her and whose presence will be greatly missed in the community. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, expresses sorrow at the death of Mrs. Nina Lee Willard Skelton of Union and extends sympathy to her family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Skelton's family, at 201 E. South Street, Union.
