A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE MONICA M. McDANIEL FOR HER MANY CIVIC AND BUSINESS CONTRIBUTIONS TO HER COMMUNITY AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA ENHANCING THE LIVES OF MANY SOUTH CAROLINIANS.

Whereas, Monica M. McDaniel of Columbia, South Carolina, has been honored for her many volunteer activities and civic work by receiving a community service award from the National Urban League Southern Regional Delegate Assembly and being awarded the TWIN award from the Charleston YWCA; and

Whereas, Ms. McDaniel is a board member for Habitat for Humanity, the task force group chair for the Congaree Girl Scout Council's Leadership Institute, and a member of the Columbia Urban League Leadership Institute; and

Whereas, Ms. McDaniel also has made a significant contribution to the State through her position as community investment regional manager and senior vice president with Nationsbank; and

Whereas, in her position with Nationsbank she is responsible for more than four hundred banking centers and ten billion dollars in loans in monitoring community reinvestment activities in South Carolina and North Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, hereby recognize Monica M. McDaniel for her many civic and business contributions to her community and the State of South Carolina enhancing the lives of many South Carolinians.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Monica M. McDaniel.
