TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND ITS COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION FOR CLAIMING THE NUMBER ONE RANKING FOR ITS MASTERS IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PROGRAM FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR.
Whereas, the College of Business Administration of USC has long been a hallmark of quality education among the many fine programs offered by the University, and;
Whereas, the Masters in International Business program is the crown jewel of the broad array of excellent offerings of the College of Business Administration, and;
Whereas, the ranking of the Masters in International Business program as Number 1 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report for the fourth consecutive year has unquestionably affirmed this program as the "best in the nation", and;
Whereas, the ranking is based on the judgement and opinions of business school deans and program directors from across the country and is their assessment of academic excellence, faculty strength and achievement in the area of scholarly research, and;
Whereas, this great honor is in the fine tradition of the continuing activities and efforts of the University of South Carolina, which bring honor and acclaim to our beloved State;
Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the General Assembly extends its heartiest congratulations and high commendation to the University of South Carolina and its College of Business Administration for receiving national first place ranking for its Masters in International Business program for the fourth consecutive year.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. John M. Palms, President and Dr. James F. Kane, Dean of the College of Business Administration.
