TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION, RELATING TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA TEACHER LOAN PROGRAM, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1506, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Commission on Higher Education, relating to the South Carolina Teacher Loan Program, designated as Regulation Document Number 1506, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
This amendment governs the eligibility criteria for participation in the South Carolina Teacher Loan Program. Allows individuals who did not graduate from high school but received their high school diploma through either adult education or by passing the GED and who meet all other eligibility criteria to participate in the South Carolina Teacher Loan Program.
