A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS AND ADMIRERS OF MR. WOODROW R. WILSON, A RETIRED AIKEN COUNTY MAGISTRATE, WHO DIED TUESDAY, APRIL 20, 1993.

Whereas, Mr. Woodrow R. Wilson, a retired Aiken County magistrate, died Tuesday, April 20, 1993; and

Whereas, Mr. Wilson, a native of Hampton, was a member of Burnettown First Baptist Church, where he belonged to the Men's Bible Class and the choir and had served as a deacon and training union director; and

Whereas, he retired from the Aiken County Sheriff's Department after twenty-eight years of service and had served as Aiken County Magistrate from 1980 to 1984. Mr. Wilson was a Navy veteran and a member of Silverton Agriculture Club; and

Whereas, survivors include a daughter, Melanie Wilson Hutto of North Augusta; a son, Lanier C. Wilson of North Augusta; a sister, Maude Wilson Padgett of Augusta; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate express their deepest sympathy to the family and many friends and admirers of Mr. Woodrow R. Wilson, a retired Aiken County magistrate, who died Tuesday, April 20, 1993.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mr. Wilson.
