AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-380, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN LEXINGTON COUNTY, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE THE PRECINCTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Lexington County voting precincts redesignated

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-380 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by an act of 1993, bearing ratification number 3, is further amended to read:

"Section 7-7-380. (A) In Lexington County there are the following voting precincts:

Amicks Ferry

Batesburg

Boiling Springs

Bush River

Cayce No. 1

(B) The polling places of the various voting precincts in Lexington County must be designated by the Lexington County Election Commission. The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on the official map on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the South Carolina Budget and Control Board designated as document P-63-93 and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the Board of Voter Registration of the county by the Division of Research and Statistical Services. The official map may not be changed except by act of the General Assembly."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
