A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXTENDING BEST WISHES TO MRS. ANNIE L. BROWN OF CHARLESTON COUNTY UPON HER RETIREMENT FROM EDUCATION.

Whereas, Mrs. Annie L. Brown of Charleston County graduated from Baptist Hill High School in 1956, graduated from South Carolina State College, and undertook further studies at Clemson and Winthrop; and

Whereas, she worked at the Federated Home for Children in Columbia and worked for thirty-two years at Baptist Hill High School; and

Whereas, despite her time-consuming educational activities, she has made time also for her community, for example, serving as a member of the Ravenel Town Council; and

Whereas, she is retiring in 1993 from a distinguished career in education; and

Whereas, she is greatly deserving of recognition and thanks for her many years of devoted and exceptional service. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extends best wishes to Mrs. Annie L. Brown of Charleston County upon her retirement from education.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Brown.
