A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION, RELATING TO DETERMINATION OF RATES OF TUITION AND FEES, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1905, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the Commission on Higher Education, relating to determination of rates of tuition and fees, designated as Regulation Document Number 1905, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The amended regulations will clarify application of the residency statutes which is essential to fee determination, admission regulation, and other relevant policies of state institutions. The amended regulations are intended to provide institutions with fair and equitable standards which can be administered consistently and are sensitive to the interests of both students and the State.
