A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE LEAVELLE McCAMPBELL MIDDLE SCHOOL OF AIKEN COUNTY UPON BEING NAMED A 1996 STATE WINNER OF THE PALMETTO'S FINEST AWARDS PROGRAM.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are pleased to learn that the Leavelle McCampbell Middle School of Aiken County was named a 1996 winner of the Palmetto's Finest Awards Program; and

Whereas, the Palmetto's Finest Awards Program is sponsored by the South Carolina Association of Elementary School Principals in recognition of excellence in South Carolina's public schools; and

Whereas, the awards are presented as a result of an intense evaluation of a school's overall effectiveness and the resulting recognition of leadership in the State make the Palmetto's's Finest Award a coveted and respected honor; and

Whereas, this award brings deserved recognition and credit not only on Principal Al Lamback and the faculty, staff, and students of this outstanding middle school but upon their community and county as well; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and commend the Leavelle McCampbell Middle School upon its receipt of this truly deserved award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby congratulate the Leavelle McCampbell Middle School of Aiken County upon being named a 1996 state winner of the Palmetto's Finest Awards Program.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Al Lamback, Principal, Leavelle McCampbell Middle School.
