AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 159 OF 1995, RELATING TO DEVOLVING THE AUTHORITY FOR APPOINTMENTS AND BUDGETARY APPROVALS FOR CERTAIN OFFICES, BOARDS, AND COMMISSIONS FROM THE JOINT LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION REPRESENTING BERKELEY COUNTY TO THE GOVERNING BODY OF BERKELEY COUNTY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ACT 159 OF 1995 DO NOT APPLY TO A SPECIAL PURPOSE DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Special purpose districts exempted
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Act 159 of 1995 is amended by adding:
"(C) This section does not apply to a special purpose district."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
