TO DIRECT THE CODE COMMISSIONER TO CHANGE REFERENCES OF "REGISTER OF MESNE CONVEYANCES" TO "REGISTER OF LAND CONVEYANCES" AT SUCH TIME AND IN SUCH MANNER AS MAY BE TIMELY AND COST-EFFECTIVE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Whenever the term "Register of Mesne Conveyances" appears in the Acts and Joint Resolutions of the General Assembly or the 1976 Code of Laws of South Carolina, it shall mean the "Register of Land Conveyances." The Code Commissioner is directed to change all such references at such time and in such manner as may be timely and cost-effective.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
