A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

COMMENDING WALHALLA HIGH SCHOOL'S SCHOOL TO WORK PROGRAM IN OCONEE COUNTY ON BEING ONE OF TEN PROGRAMS TO BE RECOGNIZED BY THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF RESEARCH AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION.

Whereas, the National Council of Research and Vocational Education has honored Walhalla High School's School to Work Program in Oconee County as one of ten programs to gain national recognition; and

Whereas, of the thirty high schools considered to receive this recognition, Walhalla High School was the only southern high school to be honored; and

Whereas, the School to Work Program prepares high school students to look beyond a high school diploma or a college degree and ahead to a career. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend Walhalla High School's School to Work Program in Oconee County on being one of ten programs to be recognized by the National Council of Research and Vocational Education.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. John Hostetler, Principal of Walhalla High School.
