A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 1-11-10 OF THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD SHALL ALSO CONSIST OF THE MOST SENIOR FEMALE MEMBER AND MOST SENIOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN MEMBER OF THE SENATE AND THE MOST SENIOR FEMALE MEMBER AND MOST SENIOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 1-11-10 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 1-11-10. The State Budget and Control Board shall be comprised of the Governor, ex officio, who shall be chairman, the State Treasurer, ex officio, the Comptroller General, ex officio, and the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, ex officio, and the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives, ex officio, the most senior female member and most senior African-American member of the Senate, and the most senior female member and most senior African-American member of the House of Representatives."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
