A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE CHOPPEE INDIANS FOOTBALL TEAM OF GEORGETOWN COUNTY ON WINNING THE 1994 STATE CLASS A FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the Choppee Indians Football Team of Georgetown County recently captured the 1994 State Class A Football Championship by defeating Timmonsville; and

Whereas, led by Head Coach John Spears, the Indians finished with an excellent win-loss record of 11-4; and

Whereas, this achievement could not have been possible without the full support of the parents, school administrators, teachers, coaching staff, students, and residents of the Georgetown County School District. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina congratulate the Choppee Indians Football Team of Georgetown County on winning the 1994 State Class A Football Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Spears.
