A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY UPON THE DEATH OF MS. HOLLY KRISTINA CRAIN OF INMAN AND TO EXTEND SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Ms. Holly Kristina Crain of Inman died January 6, 1995, from injuries received in an automobile accident; and

Whereas, a native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of Joyce Edwards Crain of Inman and Roger Crain of Spartanburg, a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg, where she was a member of the orchestra, the Life Team, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (F.C.A.) Youth Choir; and

Whereas, Ms. Crain was an eleventh grade student at Boiling Springs High School, where she was a member of the No. 3 varsity tennis team, the varsity soccer team, the orchestra, the Beta Club, and the Interact Club; and

Whereas, she was a Cadet Girl Scout with Troop No. 11 and the recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award and was also a member of AYSO soccer; and

Whereas, Ms. Crain was an outstanding young woman who made substantial contributions to her community in spite of her youth; and

Whereas, we want her family, church, school, and scout communities and her many other friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express deepest sorrow at the death of Ms. Holly Kristina Crain of Inman and extend sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Crain's family at 170 Overdale Road, Inman.
