CONGRATULATING D. KIRK OGLESBY, JR., OF ANDERSON COUNTY ON BECOMING CHAIRMAN OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION.
Whereas, D. Kirk Oglesby, Jr., of Anderson County, president of Anderson Area Medical Center since 1967, began a one-year term as chairman of the South Carolina Hospital Association during the association's annual meeting in Columbia on January 13, 1995; and
Whereas, Kirk Oglesby is a respected veteran in both state and national health care circles and is a former chairman of the American Hospital Association and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations; and
Whereas, he is also a former chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and, in 1983, he received the South Carolina Hospital Association's Distinguished Service Award, the association's highest honor; and
Whereas, he is greatly deserving of recognition and commendation. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates D. Kirk Oglesby, Jr., of Anderson County on becoming chairman of the South Carolina Hospital Association.
Be it further resolved that this resolution be presented to Mr. Oglesby.
