CONGRATULATING SYBIL GIBSON SEVIC OF SENECA ON BEING SELECTED FOR A PRESIDENTIAL AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS TEACHING.
Whereas, Sybil Gibson Sevic of Seneca has been selected for a Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching; and
Whereas, Ms. Sevic's selection was based upon her extraordinary accomplishments in the classroom as a teacher; and
Whereas, she is a teacher at Ravenel Elementary School and was one of 215 teachers granted the award in an announcement from the White House on October 19, 1994; and
Whereas, she is a dedicated and exemplary educator and is highly deserving of this prestigious award. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Sybil Gibson Sevic of Seneca on being selected for a Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Sevic.
