A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF THE REVEREND DENNY M. HILL OF GREER AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the Reverend Denny M. Hill of the Presbyterian Home, Clinton, formerly of Greer, has died at the age of eighty-three; and

Whereas, Reverend Hill was the Parish Associate for the First Presbyterian Church in Greer, a member of the Letterman's Club of Clemson University, and served Presbyterian churches in Iva, Pickens, and Mayesville, South Carolina, and in Norfolk, Virginia; and

Whereas, he was a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary and was a retired executive secretary of the Foothills Presbytery; and

Whereas, Reverend Hill was a devoted churchman and an outstanding individual who was greatly respected, admired, and loved by all who knew him. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of the Reverend Denny M. Hill of Greer and extend sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Reverend Hill's family.
