A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

SALUTING SWISS-BASED MIKRON INSTRUMENT COMPANY ON ITS INTENDED CONSTRUCTION OF A SEVEN-MILLION-DOLLAR INJECTION-MOLDING PLANT OFF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 187 IN ANDERSON COUNTY.

Whereas, Swiss-based Mikron Instrument Company will begin construction of a seven-million-dollar injection-molding plant off South Carolina Highway 187 in Anderson County within two months; and

Whereas, the plant will be built in three phases at the Clemson Research Park in Anderson County and will employ up to seventy-five new workers; and

Whereas, this new plant has been called a "milestone" in Mikron's growth and the plant will be the company's second United States satellite, the first being in Stratford, Connecticut; and

Whereas, the Mikron plant at the Clemson Research Park will benefit the economy of the Upstate tremendously, and it is a genuine honor to have this outstanding company's presence in Anderson County. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, salutes Swiss-based Mikron Instrument Company on its intended construction of a seven-million-dollar injection-molding plant off South Carolina Highway 187 in Anderson County.
