TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 11-1-100 SO AS TO PROHIBIT A STATE AGENCY FROM PROVIDING CHECK CASHING SERVICES FOR STATE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 11-1-100. (A) For purposes of this section `agency' is as defined in Section 2-65-15(a).
(B) No agency may offer or provide a check cashing service for state employees."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
