TO CONGRATULATE THE SENECA HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' BASKETBALL TEAM, THEIR HEAD COACH, AMANDA HOLDER, THE COACHING STAFF, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR SENECA'S AAA STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP AND TO RECOGNIZE THE DEDICATION, DRIVE, AND HARD WORK OF THIS FINE TEAM OF BASKETBALL PLAYERS AND THEIR COACHES.
Whereas, the Seneca High School girls' basketball team, the Lady Bobcats, won the Class AAA State Basketball Championship; and
Whereas, this is Seneca High School's first state title since a baseball title in 1987, and the first in girls' basketball since 1953; and
Whereas, the Lady Bobcats closed the season with twenty-six consecutive wins, and
Whereas, the State Championship is a true testimony to the talent and desire for excellence of these players and their coaches. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the Seneca High School girls' basketball team, their Head Coach, Amanda Holder, the coaching staff, and school officials and recognize the dedication, drive, and hard work of this fine team of basketball players and their coaches.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the Seneca High School girls' basketball team in care of their coach, Amanda Holder.
