A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 41-27-265 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT PARTICIPANTS IN THE TECH PREP PROGRAM ARE INELIGIBLE FOR UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 41-27-265. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, participants in the Tech Prep Program in this State are ineligible for unemployment compensation benefits under this title."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
