TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 38-77-640 SO AS TO REQUIRE AN AUTOMOBILE INSURER TO NOTIFY ITS INSURED WHENEVER THE INSURED'S POLICY OF AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE HAS BEEN CEDED TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA REINSURANCE FACILITY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 38-77-640. Every automobile insurer operating in this State shall notify its insured whenever the insured's automobile insurance policy has been ceded to the Reinsurance Facility."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
