TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 32-3-15 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT NO WRITTEN CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT WHICH SPECIFICALLY PROVIDES THAT IT CAN BE CHANGED, MODIFIED, OR SUPERSEDED ONLY IN WRITING SIGNED BY THE PARTIES, CAN BE CHANGED, MODIFIED OR SUPERSEDED BY AN ORAL CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 32-3-15. No written contract or agreement which specifically provides that it can be changed, modified or superseded only in writing signed by the parties, can be changed, modified or superseded by an oral contract or agreement."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
