HONORING CONGRESSMAN LINDSEY O. GRAHAM OF SOUTH CAROLINA FOR HIS PARTICIPATION IN THE 1995 HERITAGE DAY CELEBRATION AT REDCLIFF PLANTATION IN AIKEN COUNTY.
Whereas, the Heritage Day Celebration will be held at Redcliff Plantation in Aiken County on May 27, 1995; and
Whereas, the theme of this year's celebration is honoring World War II veterans for their dedication, sacrifices, and service; and
Whereas, Congressman Lindsey O. Graham of South Carolina is the featured speaker at this year's celebration, and his presence will complete the theme whereby the younger generation salutes the older generation who gave so much for this great country in the Second World War; and
Whereas, Congressman Graham of Seneca represents South Carolina's Third Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives; and
Whereas, he was an outstanding member of the South Carolina House of Representatives before being chosen in 1994 to represent the citizens of the Third Congressional District in Washington; and
Whereas, he is a proponent of a strong national defense and an active and ever-prepared military; and
Whereas, the citizens of Aiken County are honored and proud to have him as a major participant at this year's Heritage Day Celebration. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honors Congressman Lindsey O. Graham of South Carolina for his participation in the 1995 Heritage Day Celebration at Redcliff Plantation in Aiken County.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Congressman Graham and to the Beech Island Historical Society.
