A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO MR. LEWIS BRYAN FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE FIELD OF PUBLIC EDUCATION AND WISHING HIM AND HIS FAMILY SUCCESS IN ALL FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly note that Mr. Lewis Bryan of the Town of Brunson has announced plans to retire at the end of the 1994-95 school year as principal of Fairfax Elementary School in Allendale County; and

Whereas, Mr. Bryan has served as principal of Fairfax Elementary School for twenty-five years; and

Whereas, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Newberry College and his Masters degree in Education from Furman University; and

Whereas, Mr. Bryan also served as an educator in Aiken and Edgefield Counties; and

Whereas, during his tenure at Fairfax Elementary School, the school was named a State Incentive Winner six times and declared a deregulated school by the State Department of Education. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly express their appreciation to Mr. Lewis Bryan for his dedicated service to the field of public education and wish for him and his family success in all future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Lewis Bryan.
